The City as Frame 2-Day Photography Workshop
The City as Frame is a two-day immersive photography workshop designed for amateur and professional photographers who wish to deepen their practice while experiencing Venice beyond its familiar imagery. Rather than searching for the perfect postcard, participants are invited to slow down and develop a more intentional way of seeing. Through observation, experimentation, and visual research, Venice becomes both subject and collaborator. To think of the image as poetry is to move beyond documentation and construct a personal narrative. Using their own gaze, sensitivity, and intuition, participants are encouraged to photograph what resonates with them what surprises them, challenges them, and moves them. Between quiet streets, hidden corners, and everyday encounters, each participant develops their own visual language. Alongside practical shooting sessions, the workshop includes conversations around visual storytelling, editing, sequencing, and the development of long-term photographic projects. Participants who already have an ongoing body of work are welcome to bring it for individual guidance, with support in refining structure, narrative, and future direction. More than a technical workshop, The City as Frame encourages a slower, more deliberate photographic approach while creating opportunities to connect with other photographers through shared walks, discussions, and collective reflection. Selected participants may also be invited to exhibit work at Teaser, with the possibility of presenting photographs developed during or after the workshop as part of future exhibitions or public presentations.

About KYellow

I didn’t grow up knowing I’d be a photographer. It wasn’t something I planned—it was something that found me. The moment I picked up a camera in 2008, everything changed. Photography became more than just an art form; it became a way to see, feel, and translate the world around me.

Today, I move between Venice and Santorini, two places shaped by light, history, and transformation. My work is rooted in storytelling, texture, and impermanence, capturing moments that exist between what is seen and what is felt. Through photo sessions, workshops, and artistic projects, I create images that go beyond documentation—images that hold memory, movement, and emotion.

Whether photographing individuals, guiding photographers through workshops in volcanic landscapes, or working with brands to shape a visual narrative, my approach is always the same: observe deeply, connect fully, and capture something real.
